we are proud to be home to 4 flourishing Debate events and countless of Speech events, each with their own merits. Each event comes with its different set of rules, topics, and structures to follow, but will all give you an equally amazing experience.

Congress
Congressional debate involves a large group of students (10-25) competing in a legislative session that simulates the real United States legislature by debating a variety of proposed bills/resolutions. This event especially appeals toward students interested in the American legislative process.

Parliamentary
Parliamentary debate is a partner event with a focus on impromptu speaking, making it extremely applicable to daily life. It requires students to come up with original ideas or arguments based on topics centered around current events.

Public Forum
Public forum is a partner event that deals with current event topics and involves advance preparation before debates. By exposing students to a variety of resolutions, this event helps strengthen critical thinking skills and widen perspectives.

Speech
Speech encompasses a variety of competition events under two main categories: interpretation events and public address events. Public address events require students to write and present a speech of their own, while interpretation events focus solely on presentation.
